charmed by the attention to detail
spacious room comfortable bed friendly staff zero toiletries
Our room was very spacious. It included a balcony on the second floor. the bed and furniture were comfortable. i appreciated the tasteful decorations and the eco friendly zero toiletries Provided. all the staff were friendly and exceeded customer service expectations.
the wi-fi was ALMOST non existent, not acceptable nowadays.

The restaurant served a fabulous evening meal and breakfast. I enjoyed every mouthful of fish and chips. the burger was great. Cheese board and treacle sponge did not disappoint. Breakfast was well prepared with great poached eggs.

The spa included excellent facilities. Lockers and towels were available. A hairdryer and straighteners were also accessible in the ladies' changing rooms. The pool was busy. It did not feel too crowded. There were two lanes designated for adult swimming.

The hotel gardens included a range of games. I enjoyed playing croquet and also spent some time in the bar. Staff sorted our bags, pointed out the restaurant and organized our taxi. Nothing was too much trouble.

disappointing service issues
beautiful grounds nice pool non-working lift difficult luggage
the grounds and pool were nice.
Upon arrival, i was told check-in wasn't until 3pm. This was pretty frustrating. the lift also wasn't working, made carrying luggage up the stairs quite difficult. i would not stay again.

The room was a good size. It was clean. The hotel supplied everything needed. Breakfast had very good quality and offered a good choice. All staff in the hotel and spa were great.
The car park was not clearly marked. It wasn't clear where the actual car park was initially. Some dimmer switches either side of the bed did not work. A leaflet explaining how to work the air conditioning was provided, though the room did not have air conditioning.
